As part of enhancing early engagement with practical fields of specialization, the Department of Interior Design at the Faculty of Applied Arts, Alnoor University, organized a field visit for second-year students to the Happy Childhood Foundation and Institute, under the supervision of the Faculty Dean, Professor Nizar Abdel Latif, with the participation of the department’s instructors.
The visit aimed to connect theoretical aspects with practical application, as a field exercise was conducted for the students covering methods for taking precise measurements of various spaces, including rooms, halls, and corridors, while considering the needs of children with special needs, with a focus on adapting designs in harmony with each child's psychological aspects.
The exercise aimed to enable the students to create comprehensive design scenarios that consider both the human and functional aspects simultaneously, thereby achieving a safe and comfortable environment for all children.
At the conclusion of the visit, Alnoor University distributed gifts to the children of the institute, in a humanitarian gesture reflecting the university’s commitment to supporting this group and fostering a sense of social responsibility among its students.
