At the Interior Design Department at Alnoor University, a workshop was held on the design requirements for people with disabilities
As part of its commitment to the humanitarian aspects of the educational process, the Department of Interior Design at the College of Applied Arts, Alnoor University, organized a specialized scientific workshop on Sunday, 5 April 2025, addressing the design requirements for people with special needs, under the supervision of Dr. Nizar Abdul Latif, Dean of the College. The workshop was delivered by Dr. Hatem Qasim Aljamili, along with assistant lecturers Bara Imad Aldin, Shahd Ali Mahmoud, and Rafqa Abdul Karim, in addition to lecturer Hatem Hazem Dawood. They presented the most important modern standards and principles that should be adopted in designing interior spaces to ensure a safe, comfortable, and inclusive environment for all segments of society, particularly people with special needs. The workshop included discussions on several key themes, most notably the methods of adapting educational and service buildings and facilities, and the use of design solutions that facilitate movement and mobility, as well as enhancing independence and integration for this important segment of society.
